If your actually going off-road on mtb trails thats a good way to get hurt .
If your just cruising around riding some gravel it’s fine for a while.

In the 4th picture is that a seal for the fork halfway up the stanchion?

No off road for you bro… That fork is fucked.
See if you can find a rockshox one, they have good budget air sprung forks.
