About a year ago I was contemplating selling my 10yo. hard tail for a shiny new gravel bike. Instead I upgraded some parts, replaced the drive train and added some bags to build my jack-of-all-trades-adventure-machine.
Took it to a trip this weekend that had it all – fast rolling cycle paths, endless fire roads, vineyards, dense forests, rock gardens, flowtrails, long uphills, 70kph (43mph) descents, 35°C (95F) heat, chill lakes, old castles, WW2 bunkers, a ferry ride, a rusty old bridge… 10/10
