  1. Cameras flatten out the gradient without careful set up. But 20% gradient is steep (and you’ll likely have steeper sections in there), almost no one would ever say riding up a 20% gradient is easy- even the pros had second thoughts about gearing when the Tour came to Yorkshire.

    Yeah 19% is no joke. I did a 103 mile Gran Fondo that had a climb that averaged 17% but peaked at 21% for a section and I was dying even with the super low gearing on my gravel bike

  3. I recently climbed Bunker Hill in Boston on a single speed during a group ride. It was truly incredible to be frozen still while gravity pulled me back and my pedal force tried to push me forward. Did it though!
