I picked something up that will completely change how we do things on the narrowboat cafe – but then I got a bit overwhelmed by all the stuff you have to do to get it ready so I tidied up on Holly instead.
Big thanks to the Patreon crew.
Special thanks to Sam Osborne, manager of Sheepridge United FC for granting us his impromptu interview.

Was a pleasure meeting you vick your a genuine guy you seem to slow down your voice during vlogs keep the videos coming brother
I tried kimchi today in a toasted cheese sandwich…definitely a game changer!! 🎉
Good luck with the new roaster!! I did enjoy your journey!!😊😊😊
Amazes me that you all can get around without a car
Why not hire a car?
Good clean and Tidy up😊
Cant beat freshly roasted coffee beans.
Gonna need to listen for 1st crack & 2nd crack. After getting some green coffee beans of course.
Vic, do you not worry that the train will leave before you have a chance to scamper back and recover the camera ? 🙂
17:31 "Goodnight, people." 🥰
Epic trip with a heavy box, well done Vic. I know I have said before about a cycle helmet but a few years ago a man crashed his cycle at the bottom of the hill outside our house. He was not wearing a helmet and he actually hit his head and died. William needs his dad.
Everybody has gubbins.
Lovely little family ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Huddersfield my neck of the woods. Holmfirth is fab, do most of my selected shopping there rather. Your Dead To Me – fab!
“Gubbins”!!! You make me laugh Vic!
Speaking of gubbins … A vintage folding hoof pick could be useful.. I carry a brass one where the hook fits neatly into a handle in winter for my walking boots. Otherwise I carry it in my handbag as I like the weight. Increasingly wondering how you get such great shots. I just love William being trained for vocal actor of the year!
Gubbins= a word I havent used since well before I left Suffolk for France 19 years ago and never thought I'd still be here… My West London roots! The OED has wonderful history of the lovely expression. I just love William being trained for vocal actor of the year! Goodnight People. Thank you Victor!
The funniest moment for me was the PE shorts, fantastic editing! Lovely to meet you last weekend for coffee, cake and puppaccino ❤
Vic! This was so great! Thank you for sharing your lives with us. The curiosity about your camera cracked me up!
That pigeon crossing the crosswalk cracking up🤣
Omg! When you left the camera behind and hopped on that train I got so worried that you’d get carried away from it! What an adventure with your box! Our built in electric stove top broke many months ago and we also haven’t replaced ours because the camp stove is quite nice actually.
Brilliant filming and editing.
I'm wondering why they couldn't deliver somewhere locally to pick up even if they couldn't get to the boat.
Holmfirth is definitely Last of The Summer Wine filming location
The coffee roasting smell in Winter qill attract more punters! A clever wheeze, excellent work, and video. Hard work, I imagine getting the roaster home on bus, train, bicycle
Huddersfield station has(had?) a famous cat. It was one of the staff and a couple of books were written about it.
Also Holmefirth was the location used for filming the TV series "last of the summer wine"
Back when I started work in 1972, I used to take the bus from Manchester to Barnsley and back many weekends.
It always went (and stopped) in Holmefirth befire climbing up to cross the moors.
Later in life I used to take the train from Manchestert airport to Huddersfield, before taking another train to Penistone.
Love you guys but after all the lovely places you have moored the boatyard looks very uninviting and not a great playground for William who is gorgeous
Ha ha , amazing one man footage and enjoyable to watch
What's a roaster..?😊
As always a fantastic vlog, you put so much effort into your videos and it's much appreciated by your viewers, keep up the good work. Take care and stay safe.
Holmfirth, Yup, "Summer Wine". Compo and Cleggy burried side by side. Best friends for eternity.
You deserve a coffee after that 😂🇮🇪
Love you all So look forward to your videos …Have a great week ..from us both in Somerset xxx
We'd all be lost without gubbins.
Why don't you move some gubbins into your office lol
Vic, although it can be somewhat tedious, round my way at least the recyclers ask that you remove any sticky tape from cardboard. It can gum up the processes – or so I'm told.
Thanks for idea of a kimchi and cheese toasted sandwich 👍🏼 just enjoyed one of those with turmeric kimchi 😋
You could hang stuff above counters; be it shelves or hooks for anything that can be hung
Xx
Where are you located at the moment, I'm close to Burnley
Would love to see a day in the life of Joanna. It’s magical when she’s in her moment.
How can you make the word gubbins so hilarious?! 😆💗
Vic, you are remarkable and all the while with a smile. Thank you for the vlogs you bring us. Leigh
The bird crossing the road was epic. The editing is spot on. But what is a "Gubbin"?
I think it's neat but kind of unnecessary for a cafe that is only open a few days a week for part of the year. But more power to you if it makes you happy! 🙂 Always like watching your videos.
Being from the USA, I admit that I had to look up the word GUBBINS. I quite like it and will look for ways to work it into my vocabulary. 😂
Also, that journey while carrying a 50lb box was very impressive. And you still had energy for a run! 😮
I love your videos and this one was very special. What an adventure. And to make matters even better, you visited my home town of Holmfirth. If only I’d known I would have given you a lift in my Van, Annie. But your video would have been a lot more boring. In addition, hesitate to say this, but wow you survived Huddersfield wandering around with a camera. Restores my faith and means I accept my anxiety. Finally, one day when you’re old, you will look back at this video and be amazed at what you did…..
Loved your video this week Vic. Was great how you included Joanna and William at the end. You are so talented.
Hi hullo sooooooo glad to see you guys again missed you wonderful people so much 🎉🎉🎉
Superb videography Vic👍, considering you are on your own. You captured your journey so well. Looking at your video in France outside an air b n b, only interrupted by French ads.
Loved the footie fan interview- he sounds like he should be on Sky Sports. Bang on editing by the way👍
Doesn’t make sense enduring public transport and high costs instead of using a courier service. 🤔🤷♂️
Hello Victor: You are a man of grit and determination: it's a good job you've been doing all those pull ups and press ups with William on your back; next time I think you should make yourself some sandwiches in advance. Good luck with the roasting. Pete Glyde
Vic your commitment to these videos is legendary. Enough you had to lug that coffee roaster home but adding to the work by placing camera to record you struggling so you had to struggle with it even more. Have a great week! 🙂
