Brazing might also be an option, although welding would give a stronger result.
Somebody didn’t take the minimum insertion seriously
If it’s steel go get an opinion by a welder. If it’s aluminum it’s toast
That looks fixable with a welder. It’s a good spot for a crack if you need one.
