Hey everyone! A couple days ago, I posted a question here asking if I could use my Schwinn bike for Mtbiking. Many of you warned me that it is pretty dangerous and I should not invest on fixing/ improving the bike.
Well I got really lucky and I got this beautiful used Giant ATX for $140 from Facebook Marketplace. The bike was well maintained and in a pretty decent condition. The guy selling it was a mtbiker himself and we had a good conversation. Took it to a trail today and it was awesome! The bike handled really well, and I had a blast. I’m still pretty new to mountain biking, but this was a great start. Thanks to everyone who gave advice earlier. If you have any tips for a newbie or suggestions on beginner trails, I’d love to hear them!

A few years ago I got a giant atx 2 (2020) and have been riding with no problems, it’s honestly a great entry level hardtail, I swapped it to a single speed and have been riding my local trails, just simple short downhill trails, no regrets with the bike yet
Sweet! I would just say maybe get rid of the kickstand and reflectors then keep shredding!
