nickobec on September 1, 2024 2:05 pm What do you want to do with the bike? Fast flat bunch rides, race crits, triathlons? Get the Propel Long days in the hills, grand fondos, ride in the rain? get the TCR They are very different bikes (I bought a low mileage 2017 Giant Propel SL last year for 2.5k AUD) TCR pros: newer bike, disk brakes, better resale value, can fit wider tyres, more comfortable to ride cons: mechanical groupset Propel pros: faster bike on the flats, electronic shifting (but it is the 1st generation 11 speed Ultegra) cons: stiff harsh ride, max tyre width is 28mm in some brands (and not in others), brakes are PITA to setup and maintain, 7 years old.
