Bought a “tubeless ready” Cannondale Habit LT 2 and started converting to tubeless. The tape that’s on there appears to be good to go but I’m not positive. It fills the inner rim and goes part way up the side walls. It’s smooth to the tough and the end doesn’t peal up easily. I don’t want to create a big project pealing it off if it is tubeless tape, cause I heard how much of a pain it is cleaning all the adhesive off. Thoughts?

That is in fact tubeless tape
Yes, although it is installed poorly.
You’d typically want way more overlap in the tape. At the shop, we do like a a full quarter of the wheel of overlap. We’ll start the wrap 3 or 4 spoke holes away from the valve, wrap towards the valve, and the finish 3 or 4 spoke holes away past the valve. Making sure to overlap the tape at the valve.
Also, its not uncommon for us to do 2 sometimes 3 layers of tubeless tape.
This looks like WTB tubeless tape, which works great. Also, installing new tubeless tape is pretty chill. You don’t need to scrub the adhesive off.

I recently replaced some Stan’s tape with the MucOff tape you’re showing and liked the installation better. Results too.
if you’re not sure, install the valve and pop on the tire. if it’s new it should hold air very well without sealant. Normal rim tape wouldn’t do that.

Get that mic off tape as far away as possible from that rim. I’ve only had bad experiences with it even when I used mic off sealant but since I’ve switched to Silcas sealant, they recommend only tubeless tape without any printing on it (like the one installed) because the carbon fibers they added to their sealant will actually rob through the cheaper mic off style tapes.
