It’s hard to tell from this one picture, but it doesn’t look like it is toast to me.
Ride it until your chain skips, then replace it. As a general piece of advice, make sure you replace your chains as they wear to prolong the life of the rest of the drivetrain, as a worm chain puts premature wear on your sprockets.
