  1. It looks like the presta valve core is unthreading, does your pump screw onto the valve core?

  2. It is common when the tube has a removable valve core and the pump threads onto the valve.

    I would recommend either getting a bike pump that does not thread onto the valve, or getting tubes that do not have removable cores.

  3. Your cores are loose, tighten them.

    This is normal for removable core presta valves. When the cores are screwed in tight enough, this does not happen.

    To keep this from happening in the future tighten your cores. You can do this with needle nose pliers or using a valve core wrench.

  4. *Sigh* unfortunately yes, really tighten them valve cores down and if you can use a threadlocker.

  5. Nothing better than being Mr. Proactive and topping off the tires before the morning commute and having the core come out when you go to remove the inflater!

    Make a habit of ensuring your valves are nice and snug when you install the tube. If you can, spend the money on an air chuck that slides over the valve and locks on vs. threads on.
