I cracked one clean in half once in a 50mph crash and walked away very sore. And woke up in an ER once when I was a kid and my front tire came off at 10mph when I wasn’t wearing one.

Nurse here. Great job on that helmet. I’ve taken care of so many patients with traumatic brain injuries and more from bicycling. No helmet. Many of these patients can’t talk, have “dents ” in their head, can’t swallow right maybe on a feeding tube, on ventilators with the hole in their throat to breathe, bed bound, and more fun stuff.
