  1. I don’t think it is. Although it’s not a ripoff. Quick google search found one at a bike shop for $5800.

As a comparison, I just bought a Yeti SB160 t3 with full fox factory, axs transmission and a bunch of other goodies for $4300. It was a similarly priced bike when new last year.

I think used bike prices are going to crash soon, for example when you can buy a new Santa Cruz for 30% off, it makes the resale of the older models drop harder.

You’ll need to do your own research, but how did a SLX derailleur get on that bike? SLX is 3rd in Shimano quality for starters. The new ones come with SRAM and electric shifting to boot. Other parts are weird too. Has this guy cannibalized parts before trying to sell the bike?

  3. I think you could do better, seems a little high especially since he has downgraded several of the components from what a 9.9 would have come with…

The market is been hit so hard lately. I would go shop for a brand new bike in that price range. I picked up a Santa Cruz brand new for thousands off. Some places are blowning them out at 40 or 50% off of regular price.

Terrible deal in this market. You can do wayyyy better right now. I wouldn’t pay over 4500 for that bike

  6. It’s not awful, but no way I’m dropping $6k on a used bike without a warranty. Not a big fan of used carbon either. I’d much rather spend a little extra and get it new, or a lesser build and upgrade as parts need to be replaced. Nice bike though, but it’d have to be $4,500 for me to consider.

  7. 6k… nah. End of year blowouts are coming to get new equal bikes for that price or less.

Probably can buy a new bike with similar components for less and get a warranty tbh with all the deals out there

I mean it’s a gorgeous bike, but you could get equal to that for about 70% of the price, and new. Save some cash for maintenance and upgrades (not that there are many upgrades to do at this price range, but doubt you’ll find fox transfer dropper on a stock bike under 4-5k)

  10. I have a Top Fuel 9.9 XTR that I was thinking about selling and would probably be pumped off I got over $4k for it. That bike is not worth it with those downgraded components.

Make sure you check your local Trek stores for deals because this time of year they will be doing just about anything to offload any 2023 models.

  12. This totally depends on what else is available where you live. Where I am it wouldn’t be great, but my brother lives in a country with hardly any good bikes available and this would be a good deal.
