  1. I couldn’t sleep if that was mine! I’d change it but I don’t think it’ll do any actual damage as such.

  2. Try and source longer stem bolts. How far do they go in? Personally I would want to see the bolt screw at the other end.

  3. Is the gap the same on both top and bottom of the face plate? The gap looks a whisper wider than ‘normal’ but that may be due to not having the plate tightened equally.

    Just pop into a bike shop or a hardware store and grab some new bolts. They’re probably fine, but the more threads the better.

    The engineering rule is at least 1 1/2 (1.5x) bolt diameter in engagement, they should be M6 bolts (6mm), if you have 9mm of engagement whether the bolts stick out or not your good, just make sure they are torqued to specification.
