    Depends. A chain lock is never as strong as a u lock, but it’s more versatile for locking on different poles etc. If you want flexibility and ease of locking, a chain lock is nice, for absolute safety, a u lock is the way to go.

  2. Kryptonite keeper std is a very weak d lock, I think it was rated bronze. The chain you are looking at is not overly secure either, but if you keep it high enough from the ground, will be more of a hassle to break. But if you have a nice bike, kryptonite evolution chain lock is probably a much more secure option, albeit heavier. But if you keep that off the ground, few thiefs will bother with the hassle

    Where are you locking your bike up? If you’re somewhere with a lot of theft and/or leaving your bike locked up for a long time, you may want to consider something stronger.
