Hi everyone,
I'm relatively new to road biking and could use some advice. I was offered this bike for $110 earlier today. Other than some gunked-up grease, everything seems to be in good condition. It's a Sora 8 System.
Do you think this was a good deal?

Yes…to me any working bike with STI shifting is worth probably at least $250

Does it make sense to change anything or make small upgrades? I have ordered a new chain, the old one had no chain lock and was extremely stiff.
It’s a lot of bike for $110.
At that price I’d question whether the seller owned it. New I don’t think you could get the tires and the pedals for that.
For that price, if the bike is in ok shape and there is nothing catastrophically wrong with it, it’s almost always a good deal.
