Looking at this High Sierra, sad it's missing the rear brakes. Claims this is a medium, it sure looks large. Can anyone eyeball this and give opinion on size? Think I can make it work at 6'?

The rear brake is there, located on the underside of the chain stay. I’m no expert but the frame does look more on the large side to me.
Doesn’t hurt to give it a test ride
It has a u-brake under the the frame. Probably a DiaComp. It does look like a medium. A large would have a longer headtube.
Also, pretty sure it’s an ‘87 made by Giant.
That’s definitely a medium not a not large I have one and the head tube is way bigger

Medium. I ~believe~ these came in 16, 19, 21, 23. Probably a 19. If you’re 6’+ hold out for something bigger. Go by inches not by Large/Medium etc. Frame geometry plays a big role in these bikes. By the time you get done you’ll wish you had a bigger frame.
