I'm buying my first road bike. I have decided I am going to buy brand new. It's easier to find the right fit, and also not worry about getting scammed 🙂
I am considering these two bikes at the moment:
The Triban is currently $1300 CAD. It has Shimano 105 components. It also has hydro-mechanical disc brakes which reviews say are better than regular disc brakes (but still not as good as full hydraulic).
The Allez is more expensive at $1500 CAD. It has the Claris groupset, and regular mechanical disc brakes.
Does the Specialized Allez have a better frame? If it is better, does it justify paying slightly more for it and downgrade components? Posting here to see if there's a clear choice here. If it's a close decision, then I will go for the Triban.

The RC520 is only available in XS. Is that your size? And the Allez is only avaiable in XS and L and above. Make sure you get something in your size!
