Question:
Do I need to get a new Crankset to upgrade from my deore 11 to SLX 12? Or will it work with just a new derailleur, chan, shifter and cassette?
Long story short, I’m looking for a new wheelset for my kona process (https://99spokes.com/en-CA/bikes/kona/2022/process-134-29) and it has me thinking of upgrading the groupo because I’m currently running Deore 11 which has Shimano HG and not microspline.
I want to be able to take the i9 1/1 wheels I’m looking at and throw them on my next bike (probably in 1-2 years), so thinking of ordering the new wheelset for Microspline instead of HG.

Technically no. It should be fine. Chainline might not be 100%, but as long as you have a NW chainring and are going from 1x to 1x theoretically you should be fine.
