I have a friend who rode one of those the entire 100 miles of The White Rim Road in Canyonlands Utah outside Moab. In April of 2021 As bad as the tires were I’m going to say O.E.M. with only one flat. You could put your little finger through the sidewalls. No rubber, only strings. His “usual” bike failed to make the trip so he grabbed ‘whatever out of the shed and went for it! That Trek may be “old school” but it is one hell of a capable bike!
