This is a 2014 Brompton Superlight, now known as a P-line, I just bought. It cost me €850, which I consider a really good price.
There is some signs of repainting:
* I can’t understand where the Brompton sticker gone, as well as info sticker with the model name (one of the signs of a cheap price).
* But, it has a serial number sticker, which is looks re-glued.
Any thoughts, ideas? Please also comment if you think the year is inaccurate.
I’m sure other(s) will chime in about their thoughts. My first guesses are that the prior owner either repaired it and had it repainted or perhaps it was stolen and repainted. I always register my Brompton’s with the company. Also, there was a recall on the bottom brackets for many of the Brompton‘s during that period. Check the serial number and if it falls between 1403284144 and 1705150001, yours could be affected. The serial number should be on the ID plate and sticker on the back side of the seat tube. All the best and enjoy your new ride!
