How are you guys riding without water bottle and bike lock? Always bring a backpack?

What do you mean by “busy”? The looks of it or it’s a hassle riding with it?
I use a front rack where I dump everything. But that’s on my commuter bike. I wouldn’t put a front rack on a bike that would use for “fun” rides since it changes the feel of the bike (depends on the rack though). Messenger bag or backpack in that case.

No way. This looks clean, utilitarian and fast. If you need a bit more storage, think about a small bar bag.
