I initially wanted to go for the SL7 w/o AXS when it was on discount. However they removed the discount but now the one with AXS is discounted. The price difference is only 300 CHF (~300 USD). Should i go for it?
Also i’m not absolutely sure what size i should take, since I’m between XS/S. My measurements are 172cm/ 83cm.
Since only S is available i thought I’d yolo it and go for the S. bad idea? Maybe someone can tell me about their experience with the bike. Thanks in advance;)

I’d take the AXS.
As for the size, go for S only if you know your fit and what you are doing. If this is your first road/gravel bike, wait for XS.
S seems to be too big for you. I would wait for XS and disregard the discount. Still a lot of money to end up with a bike that might not fit.
AXS is great but really a bit of a luxury. Won’t make you any faster. Shifting is amazing through. I really enjoy it!
Oh boy. They stopped the discount. Just bought a grail w/o axs one week ago. Now I’m feeling lucky.
fun fact: I am 171/81 and bought a Canyon Grizl in size S instead of XS, even made a post here [https://www.reddit.com/r/CanyonBikes/comments/1doh0z7/canyon_grizl_al_sizing_is_this_bike_correctly/](https://www.reddit.com/r/CanyonBikes/comments/1doh0z7/canyon_grizl_al_sizing_is_this_bike_correctly/)
approx. 2 month and 800km later I can say this was the right size and I have not felt any discomfort, I feel neither stretched nor cramped.
just wanted to say that the consensus *”smaller size is better”* should not apply to all.
