
I am having to problem. Hopefully someone can help me with. I have this bike that took the safety level off to to change the brakes cable around so the rear brake is on my left side of the bike. I forgot how the safety level as supposed to go
Like the which washer go where I have the safety level on but when I grip them they kind of don't want to release good enough like before. The regular brake lever are ok I have been looking for a part diagram for these safety levers or what nost people call them sicide levers. Can anyone direct a diagram of this The kind bike it is Centurion sport dlx.
Thanks I brought it for $45 it looks and ride really good . I had to get new tires, and tubes so far it as been good

These brakes never worked super well. I can’t remember what side the washer goes on but it doesn’t seem to matter because they will clinch up if you get the too tight. Pull the levers off and thoroughly clean the pivot point. Make sure everything is where you want it then apply a tiny amount of blue locktite on the screws making sure to only tighten them just on this side of loose. Let the locktite hold them in rather than the pressure. Head to Vintage bikes, they might have more info than me.
