I am currently riding a Cannondale Supersix 5 Liquigas (2013), which I bought from the second-hand market in Japan. I have made some custom modifications, including upgrading the wheelset, saddle, and seat post, which have cost me over 2,000 CAD in total. I will be moving from China to Canada for my studies next month. I've heard that 2,000 CAD can only get you an entry-level aluminum road bike in Canada, and that the sales tax in Ontario is quite high at 13%. Should I bring this bike with me or consider buying a new one in Canada?

It’s a stunner. Keep it. Ride it. Show it off. Spend your money on nicer bibs, a bike computer, whiskey, whatever.
Keep for sure. That’s quite a bike, and worth hanging on to no matter what it costs to ship.
