I feel like every funky, custom xbike in town was on the streets yesterday heading to Made bike show. So many weirdos dropping curbs on pink, fat tired drop bar bikes on the way to the show… Days like this are why Portland summers are so good.
This was my first time going to Made, or any bike show, and I had an absolute blast. These were some of my favorites from the show, but getting to see all the cool bikes on the streets/parked outside might have been the best part of the day. I loved getting to see and handle all these boutique bikes/components up close and talk with the builders.
My personal favorite was Bitchin Bikes titanium hardtail with a hydraulic actuated adjustable seat tube angle! Super nutty, Im thinking of selling a kidney so I can get one of their flat bars for my MTB.
Icing on the cake was scoring one of the 12 limited Old Man Mountain baskets with a Painted Hills inspired paint job. I just finished the latest build on my 2010 Rockhopper 29er and if I say so, the basket really ties the whole build together.

That pink titanium sure is a heads turner.
What’s the derailleur on the bike in 11/20?
Made is so fun. I went last year and had a blast. All the attendee bikes and builds were my favorite.
