A tiny rim of tire material has worn off of my 20×4 tire. It has come off of about half of one side of the tire.
Can I just seat the tire as normal or do I need to use a razor and cut that tiny bit of material off of both sides?

So long as the bead is intact all the way around, that won’t matter. The rim seats in the bead, and that little excess would just be inside, next to the tube. I wouldn’t bother trimming any of it, as it’s covered and not heavy enough to cause balance problems.

Naw, don’t even touch it. It’s fine. Just a Happens sometimes. I’ve seen this on very high end MTB tires.
