    So long as the bead is intact all the way around, that won’t matter. The rim seats in the bead, and that little excess would just be inside, next to the tube. I wouldn’t bother trimming any of it, as it’s covered and not heavy enough to cause balance problems.

    Naw, don’t even touch it. It’s fine. Just a Happens sometimes. I’ve seen this on very high end MTB tires.
