Not worth remotely close to $400. I don’t know the specific model but my guess is that someone told them vintage Schwinn can be valuable and so they assumed this one is.
Run don’t walk from this seller.

It’s hard to give away bikes of that vintage (1970s 10-speed), unless it’s one of a few top of the line models.
If you get one free in nice condition, a Schwinn 10 speed can be a solid bike, and it may be worth new tires and cables.
FYI – I owned a 1969 Schwinn Lemon Peeler when I was a kid. Now THAT bike is super collectible, probably about $3000 if I still had it.

Looks like an early 1980’s schwinn world sport.

Double brakes as you call them were discontinued a long time ago because they’re unsafe. They don’t exert the same pressure on the pads as the regular levers. Double brakes, chain guards and center pull brakes are the trappings of a low end bike . It’s barely worth $50.00 in my opinion.

Looks more like a Varsity than a World Sport. We used to call them Schwinn Tanks because they weighed over 50 pounds. I’d look for something else. Lots of very old tech that isn’t used in modern bikes mostly for safety reasons.

$400 is a batshit insane amount to ask. It’s such an insane amount of money to ask, that you should never talk to that seller again. They’re either somebody that has no clue what they have, or they know and they’re trying to scam people.
I’m usually the guy coming into this sub to tell people saying “$50” are wrong and the vintage bike is very desireable and worth hundreds or more.
