So took a digger after clipping a tree with dang 780mm bars, apparently land on the derailleur. Field repair to make 6km ride home. All good but lost three chain ring bolts from too much chain tension I guess.

Did you lock the shock? Anyway this is difficult on FS bike, you should have spare hanger with you all the time
This makes me think I should start carrying an extra hanger…

Seeing these scenes of carnage makes me glad for derailleur hangers even though the fact every brand has multiple enrages me
happened to me but my derailleur hanger hung on for a bit more resulting in the chain going too when it finally went 🤦♂️
There’s a partial bit of envy my side 😂
