I really wouldn’t want to update this at all personally.
If you stuck modern parts on it it’s just not going to be half the bike it is right now.

i mean its YOUR bike now so you can do whatever you want to it. i would keep everything as is and maybe buy “little parts” as back ups just incase you break anything. i would say just let it sit around look pretty and collect dust but what a shame that would be. just buy a cheap modern bike and keep the classic bike same.
