Hello, I am constantly getting flat tires after riding for a short amount of time.
I am always getting puncutres in the same spot, where the valve enters the rim.
I am not sure wether the problem is in the rim or something else. Someone said it is due to the outer tire being old.
Any help is appreciated.

That hole is right next to the valve – specifically at the point where the valve goes through the hole in the rim.
So if this has happened multiple times, it’s an issue with the rim not the tyre.
Inspect the valve hole for any burrs, fix the root issue, and then replace the inner tube.
Check around the hole that the valve goes through on the rime to make sure there are no sharp edges or burs and if so remove them with a file or some sandpaper
I sanded out the valve hole, made sure everything is smooth as possible, even put a little place of rubber as the hole is a little too wide so the valve had extra space.
Bought the tape that goes around the rim and covers the hole edges a little bit.
Yesterday still the same old puncture even after all that.
I had a few people tell me that the issue is the outer tire sliding when braking instead of being stable.
Sliding because the insides are smooth and the inner tire is moving with it, touching the edge of the rim and whenever it reaches that spot it rips it.
Is that possible?
Three things come to mind that can cause this one is the rim has a burr on it and needs to be sanded/reamed. The tire was ran at low pressure or super rare, but I’ve seen it is using tire shine for cars on a bicycle tire, which caused the tire to slide on the rim and also will contaminate the rim even if you put a new tire it will slide, but that is a very rare case I honestly only seen once
Any chance you’re using a hand pump that has no hose and while you’re pumping it you’re torqueing kinda hard on the valve?
Well thanks for the responses, I will check out the rim a bit more, and if it happens to be okay I guess I will try with a new outside tire.
The valve appears to be a Shraeder type. How wide is the rim and tire, and was the rim originally intended for a Shraeder or for a Presta ?
