Hey!
I'm new into bicycling (haven't owned a bike in ten years) and I replaced my rear tire with a new tube. Ever since then my back tire spins uneven. When I ride my bike slightly bounces rhythmically.
It's been really frustrating. I tried rotating the tires, I bought a new tube and I tried different combinations but the tire keeps spinning like this. The rim spins completely true though.

Is it just the way that I'm assembling the tube/tire?

I feel like this is an issue that will screw up the tire AND the tube. Please help as this is my main commuter vehicle.

A video from the side as well would have helped, but I’m guessing you haven’t seated the tyre correctly on the rim. Take it off and start again

  2. Hey! If you’re sure that the rim is completely true (you can double-check by placing a finger close to the rim and spinning the wheel—any bump or wobble will be easy to spot this way), then the issue might be with how the tire is mounted.

Sometimes, the tire bead (the edge of the tire) doesn’t sit evenly on the rim, which can cause the uneven spinning and bouncing you’re experiencing. A good trick to get the tire seated correctly is to apply a bit of soapy water around the bead before you start inflating the tire. This helps the tire slide into place more easily. Once you’ve applied the soapy water, inflate the tire a bit more than usual to help it seat properly, then you can adjust the pressure back down to your preferred level.

    Hopefully, this helps!
