I just received a 2025 kink whip and I would like to customize the look a bit. I’m fine with the physical, but what would be the first visual look you would give this bike to make it more unique? Maybe colored grips or pedals ?

Grips, pedals and Headset are probably the cheapest parts to customize. But they wont have alot of Impact on quality or geometry of the bike.
For me as I like grinding, pegs and hubguards would be my first choice.
Also if you can do it clean, spraypaint exists!

Ride it, with a complete the way to go is ride until something breaks and then buy a nice part to replace it. Unless you are loaded I would say do that, and eventually when you find your riding style you can figure out what aftermarket frame best fits you. At the end you will have a custom bike tailored to you.
Take everything apart and grease it. I got the same bike two months ago. It is an awesome bike but everything needs grease.
Gyro plate cranks and if it doesn’t have a Freecoaster pop one on as well as a bar end in the forks for footjams
a vintage bag, cuz your bike looks great and cute. Maybe a vintage bag for bicycle will match. You can search “vintage bike bag” on Amazon to look for a bag for your bike to match.
