Undo one of the two bolts showing in your photo attach the mount there. Yes it bothers me as well that it is not able to be mounted in the middle
If facing the rear of the pack, I used the left mounting point since cars are passing me on the left if I’m riding on roads.
I just printed one. Not centered and the price bothered me too much.
