The other day I got a flat and dinged my rim in the process. Definitely can't afford a new one right now. It's alloy, so wondering if it can/should be bent back? I'm tubeless so could I buy some sealant and see if the bead still seals?

Leak sprung where the valve stem seals around the rim. The lock nut came loose so I think the stem came loose on my ride and broke the seal. Guess I should've read up that tubeless needs new sealant every 6 months…

  1. That should hold air just fine. The picture makes it look like a mild dent, might not even be worth bending it back.

Don’t even bother. As long as it holds air, send it.

In the future if you dent a rim bad you can use a crescent wrench and a flat piece of steel (cone wrench, butter knife, whatever) and bend it back [like so](https://youtu.be/TYlNxQv_r_w?t=54).
