After my 9 mile commute to work, I park my bike in our back warehouse and change in one the unisex bathrooms between the warehouse and the office. Even though it’s cool in the bathroom, and I bring a towel to wipe down, I can have a difficult time cooling off. So I’m still sweating as I try to change into work clothes.

To help cool off, I picked up a couple of these small USB rechargeable fans off Amazon. They’re powerful, small, and quiet. Set them on the sink for blowing off the back and shoulders. Set them on the floor to dry out your nooks and crannies…etc.

Then I just take them to my desk for an occasional recharge. At the end of the day, I drop them off by where I store my bike and they’re ready for the next day.

I’ve personally been enjoying an old/fashioned paper fan for stops without an outlet (not that I have a portable electric fan anyway). These are probably more reliable though.

  2. I picked up one at Aldi last year. USB-C rechargeable. I hate dressing while sweating so it definitely comes in handy.

  3. These USB fans look like they could be a good use for post ride sweats! I have a chunkier USB fan as well as those fans that look like headphones but may not do the job as well.

What I was also considering is getting one of those “neck cooling tubes” that you can find on Amazon and the like. It’s something you put in the fridge and then you can put it around your neck to keep you cool as you ride. Anyone try something like this and does it work to help decrease sweating?

I have one of those frogg toggs chilly towels that use just cold water but it’s more cumbersome.
