My partner (32M) and I (31F) want to get into tandem cycling and we found this bike for sale for $400. We have no idea whether it’s worth that much since it’s really hard to find online. Any advice? What would you pay for this bike if you wanted a beginner tandem? (Tried to check bike blue book but no luck)

Tandem riding is something you actually have to learn. Go out there and do that first, then look at what suits you best. Aside from that, the usual used-bike-sales stuff applies – check all parts that can wear down for their state (most relevantly the drivetrain, as replacing that on a tandem is somewhat more expensive due to its length, while also having to be done more often due to the higher strain on all parts). See if the bike actually suits what you want to do with it – for example the bike in question would be terrible at doing bike travelling with, because the rear triangle severely limits your rack options and the fork cannot take any racks or bags either).
