I work at a second-hand bike shop that runs an eBay page and we just recently got this Paul derailleur donated to us. I'm pretty convinced that it's a real Paul Components derailleur, but I can't seem to find any mention of a Powerglide derailleur that doesn't say 'USA' on it like this one. Any feedback or suggestions are greatly appreciated, we're just trying to find out what exactly we have before we consider selling it. Thanks a ton!

Damn, that’s wild someone donated that lol Maybe this is an in-between from the engraving to just the stickers? Also maybe a custom one for an employee? I think Paul does some more customisable stuff for employees from something I was reading or watching a while back. Nevertheless, this thing is sick af
There is a similar one here

Yeah that’s mine. I lost it. JK. That’s amazing.
Now part it forward and donate it to me
[Here’s](https://www.disraeligears.co.uk/site/paul_powerglide_rasta_derailleur.html) a little information on them. Or just send a photo to Paul Components asking for help on the ID. They were a full machine shop that could make miniscule design changes quickly to suit their needs.
Legit. I have seen a couple of examples of the engraved Paul logo without the engraved USA on a Powerglide. My understanding is that those are among the original production run, and that fewer than 100 were made in that style. Best person to ask is Mr Price himself.
Considering how many of them cracked, my guess is you have 1 of maybe 20 working examples in existence. Just a guess.
As far as counterfeits, the Powerglide is so complicated that I would be surprised if authentic looking Chinese counterfeits ever appear on the market. The current fake Paul components are all very easy to identify.
Doesn’t even have any rash on it!
