*All valuations were correct at the time of broadcast.* This incredible bike was made during the war by two brothers in Italy. It has wonderful wooden features inspired by skis, boats and aircraft. Elsewhere, this piece of furniture originates from a Frisian family in the 17th Century and was passed on from this gentleman’s mother. Each moulding was intricately made by hand and features hearts and doves which symbolise love. The experts from Antiques Roadshow take a look at some fantastic antiques and the history and stories surrounding them. This clip was filmed in Eastnor Castle in 2001.

Oh, at first glace, I thought it was Columbo holding that bike…
I can't imagine a modern evaluation of that bike, hearing how fragile the forks are, would end with a jaunt about the grounds for the camera.
Fabulous engineering & craftsmanship on the bike frame; any idea about the brand, Brothers' name, or region in Italy?
Nice bike but good luck trying to get somebody to part with 3 grand for it. I've often heard that valuations on AR are massively over the top but this is a prime example. It's not "worth" 3 grand. It's just a curiosity.
