Here’s a look at the Tour de France Femmes, time trial stage and all the sports tech behind the scenes. From the smart trainers to the cooling techniques, and plenty more!
(Re-upload due to some bizarre YouTube processing failure that was causing freezing for some people…frankly never seen that before…sigh.)

I'm not a cyclist but I can understand why they hate two stages per day. I played a lot of sports growing up and I never liked two a day practices. I don't know anyone who did!
The fan in the video is POWER+ 18" Misting Fan from EGO. If someone else wanted to check for their indoor setup)
Love these BTS videos!
thank you Ray, love your videos you are awesome !
This was really interesting, I've seen a lot of TDF stuff, but never a behind-the-scenes look like this. I always love race day organization and energy.
Does it rain a lot in DC because of you ?
This was an awesome video!!!
Awesome Ray. Thanks for sharing.
Indeed, just a few years ago (prior to the pandemic) there was no UCI World Tour league. It was all Continental.

as always: love these videos!!
Nice props for Neutral Service team – an easier day (relatively speaking!) on a TT day 😉
That’s so cool Ray! Thanks for covering the Ladies race!!
Very cool but I think having a team car basically telling ghe riders what to do is cheating. They should allow riders to ride without any outside support.
Love the TT tech reports!
3:51 Hydraulic disc brakes smh, if the bus was running rim brakes that wouldn't have been an issue 😂
really great insights, thank you!
In the Soudal bus, that’s one washing machine and one drier…
A really interesting and different view. Thanks.
I don’t think you realise how many fans you have, that DS has probably followed you for years like the rest of us. Rockstar Ray!
Big thank you to both of you.
Women cycling deserve more attention and coverage.
I actually prefer it to men cycling for many aspects, even though I am a man e.g. shorter racers lead to more action and less of these long boring stages, women are generally more approachable and more extroverted which leads to a feeling of being part of the gang and to great interviews, etc., …
Please ladies, don't become boring robots like so many of your male counterparts.
Keep your product distinctive. That's will be a key part to your success.
Bravo to all these women, the team staff, the race organizers and the sponsors who support them.
All it's left to do is
a) for sponsors, both current and a greater number of future ones, to open their wallet to make it even more successful. Women sports deserve it. It's an untapped market where lots of money can be made.
b) for more people, both women and men, to discover how great it is to watch and reward the sponsors with your money over those that don't support it.
Thanks for all the behind the scenes coverage. It’s really interesting.
"they're going to do a warmup despite that"
The shorter the event, the more important a warmup is, because you'll have less time to warmup in the event.
(I know you know this but the phrasing was odd)
Really cool vid!! 👍
The only two-fer day I remember in the Tour de France, Steve Bauer won the yellow jersey on the first stage of the day, and lost it on the second stage of the day.
Do professional riders actually go any harder because of someone yelling in their ear? I would think after 30 seconds of that the rider would want to tell them where they could stick it!
Great video!!
why are you such a trainer shill?
Great video!
The Dudok in Den Haag makes fabulous pies and cakes!
Fabulous coverage of the women's event. Thanks heaps Ray
