I’ve not done any investigation work yet, but assuming something with the freehub? Maybe needs a re-grease.
Wheels are two years old, done 3.2k miles.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
What do you think is going on here?

Probably a pawl spring inside broken.
Remove the freehub body and see if there’s anything untoward going on with the pawls (or whatever type of engagement system your hub has) then report back.
if you’re regularly using degreaser on the cassette, your engagement mechanism is probably in need of a regreasing! take it apart (youtube your hub modell..) clean and reapply grease
Bearings and pawls probably just need cleaning and regreasing. They add a bit of resistance to your freewheel, which catches and starts to spin the wheel a bit, and once it’s going the momentum just builds.
Hey — PSA here. You likely have sticky hub pawls as others have pointed out. However, NEVER GREASE hub pawls — a drop of light oil on each one will keep them moving freely.
Don’t have an answer but wanted to say how impressed I am by your clean cassette!
