  1. Not a lot. It most likely is an Orange Five, but we’re talking pre-2009. It is going to be a 26″ wheel bike with a QR swingarm. 1 1/8″ headtube and 27.2mm seat post meaning upgrades are limited.

  2. It looks like a copy of an [Orange Five AM 2012](https://www.orangebikes.com/images/2012_bikes/jpegs/Five-AM-002253.jpg) and the reason i say ‘copy’ (or ‘replica’ if you prefer) is a couple of reasons:

Unless the original owner or a subsequent owner downgraded the fork and shock, the ones on it in your pictures aren’t anywhere as good as the original specced offerings [here’s the original parts list](https://archive.orangebikes.co.uk/bike/2012/five_am/)

Speaking of downgrades, i’ve just had a look through that spec list and compared to your pics, not only are the fork and shock downgraded but so is the brakes (both rotor size and caliper quality) and crankset, i couldn’t see the derailleur in enough detail but i wouldn’t be surprised if that’s not on the level of SLX either.

The kicker for me though is on the authentic frame, there’s a cable guide just below where the shock mounts to the frame which the one you posted doesn’t have but also the rear wheel on your pics is quick release axle, the Orange Five has a bolt-thru maxle, these are not interchangeable. You also have a straight headset on the pics you’ve posted, the Five has a tapered.

Not even to mention the geometry of the Orange Five looks slacker than the pics you’ve posted. Why also would someone remove the frame decals? It’s a very good brand with a lot of respect, i don’t get it.

The bike in pics you’ve posted doesn’t look to be awful, but at the same time i don’t believe it’s authentic, and with that in my mind i wouldn’t trust the build quality.

When you get a decent quality frame and spec it with multiple non standard cheap parts then you are almost always looking at a stolen bike.

A thief has tried to chop 2 different bikes into 1 to make it look different from the original..

It might not be stolen but based on that risk I would say this bike is worth less than zero.
