  1. This is not normal. This is usually a sign of loose cassette tightening nut or missing spacers. If it used to be ok, then it is loose nut

  2. I have same problem, you just need to tighten the lockring on that cassette. This will squeeze all the cogs against each other and prevent them from moving like this.

  3. Tighten the locking, but sometimes the tolerances are a bit out and the cassette still wobbles.

    In that case, put a thin spacer behind and it will tighten up nicely.

    Took it to the shop. Missing a spacer. No damage to anything else. They got it all sorted

    Thank y’all a ton for advice. I really want to get to the point where I can work on my bike myself and learn. So the sounding board is much appreciated.

  5. That is super no normal. Either cassette but more likely freehub is broken. this will not only mess up your shifting, but it could leave you stranded if it gets worse. This is a fix now situation
