So here's a temu holder for a wahoo so I don't have to swap holder between bikes. I assume if I remove my stem cap (nukeproof scout) which has one 2.5mm Allen bolt in the centre I will find screw holes lining up with the holder? Just looking for reassurance that removing the present cap is a safe operation for a know-nothing

That part is only the quarter turn holder, it is a spare part for a full mount.
Below the stem cap there is only the one bolt you unscrew to take it out, you are missing a computer mount for a stemcap, they are that part you bought and a metal part that replaces the cap
