First bikepacking trip, very cool! I found a gorgeous antler shed somewhere halfway; It was the last kms, it was uphill forever, I thought I saw a shortcut through the forest, seemed like the road was visible. Turned out it wasn't, and it was more uphill and bushwalking than I thought. Somewhere midway I had to pause and stop, I was done, exhausted, second guessing my decision whether if I should turn back… Untill my eyes glanced that gnarly antler root poking out of the leaves, oh man was I excited. I have been looking for this for 2 years, ever since I started researching how to knap flint, and there it was… gave me very good spirits!
The route was pretty tough, I had to hike and turn back from time to time. But safe to say; the vistas and the freedom were absolutely worth all the work.
