I keep thinking I want to learn to do big jumps. Then I see vids like this and decide keeping rubber on the ground is nice. 👍🏻

Perfect example of why you should never let go of the bars. It’s about as intuitive as not catching a falling knife, but it’s the safest way to crash.

Oh fuck! Man that was a hard one. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Take time to heal fully. Your bike and the trails will be waiting patiently, no matter how long it takes.

i only use that grip on long climbs, even then i sometimes catch myself slipping off of the bars. But on jumps? no way

Exactly why I keep it rubber side down and know that my ass ain’t meant to fly.
Hopefully life isn’t too awful in double casts. I remember this happening to a girl in hs. Broke both her wrists getting off the ski lift. Double casts for about 3 months.
