Hi All, my cranks were moving around too much so i decided to take them out of the bottom bracket. Now when i took out the drive side crank, these 3 rings came with it (2 of them seem broken) and the bottom bracket looks like this. Couple questions:
Do i need new rings?
Is the bracket supposed to look like this?
Do i need to replace the whole bracket?

You need a whole new BB.
The cranks were likely moving around because your BB was completely shagged
If you clean the outside bit you might read a part number, it could say SM BB-52 or similar, you’ll need a special tool to remove/install it too.
Please someone tell me the whole bearing part did not just fall out
Well that didn’t happen overnight, there must have been signs for quite a while.
There does appear to be an at least partial legible on the outside of the BB nut.

Need new bottom bracket.
Nothing lasts forever. Time for a new bottom bracket.
When you say moving around too much do you mean they were moving at all. Side to side play in the cranks is a surefire sign that you have something wrong. Currently 2 of my bikes have play in cranks i know those bike need new bbs
Only thing missing are the balls
