I am looking to buy my first road bike. It will mostly be for training and also for Vätternrundan (315km) next summer. I already have a Scott Spark for xc mtb riding so i don't want to spend too much money on a road bike since i also will spend time on the mtb. And since I have small kids the amount of time i can bike is kind of limited. But I also don't want a bike that I will dislike because its too bad. The kids love to go in the Thule Chariot Cross 2 behind my mtb, so if the road bike is able to carry it then it will be even more trips on it.
I have found a new 2024 Cannondale CAAD Optimo 2 with Tiagra groupset for 10 000 SEK (about 865 euro) and a used 2021 Bianchi Via Nirone 7 with 105 groupset for the same price. The Bianchi also includes 105 pedals. All used Via Nirone seems to be around that price. Older ones without 105 is a bit cheaper.
Is the Bianchi and the 105 groupset a much better bike, so it is worth buying a used one for the same price as the new Cannondale with Tiagra? Or would you go for a new bike just so you know the history and there is no problem with it?
Or should I just go with the cheapest (new) bike I could find, a new 2023 Scott Speedster 40 with Claris groupset for 7000 SEK (~600 euro)? Its about 1kg heavier then the other two bikes and have aluminum fork. Im also not a big fan of the yellow logos, but if its good enough maybe thats something I can live with.
Anything special you should look for in a road bike that any of these bikes have or dont have?

If the bianchi is in like new condition, it’s worth it. But tiagra is still good. Both 10 speed and 11 speed are in the past for Shimano at this point. Avoid claris if you can.
I have an older Via Narone as my winter bike and it’s good, not the lightest bike in the world though good enough. I’d avoid the Scott, 1kg is a lot on a bike. Out of the others I’d definitely go with the Bianchi, but maybe I’m biased. They also have a following, so usually hold their value better and you have a better reselling it if you decide to
