Please just buy a used tray style rack on marketplace. Don’t sink $40 into a top tube adapter. Make the jump to a real rack. You won’t regret it!

You don’t need any adapters. Put the left rack prong in the small triangle on the seatpost/top tube. Put the right prong underneath the top tube. Push the bike all the way in to the rack uprights. If you’re worried about scratching the bike, get some rubber or foam padding to put between the upright and bike.

That’s not how you’re supposed to do it. You’ll need a top tube adapter.
Please don’t attach your bike to your rack by the shock. It’ll definitely scratch the hell out of the shaft.
