Dork Disc (I think) blew up mid-ride. What’s wrong with my rear components? (noob). Pic of the stupid disc in the comments.

Here’s the darn thing. I was pedaling along after doing 8 miles completely fine, and then I stopped applying power to the pedals and bam, it felt like someone threw a stick between my rear wheel/chain. That didn’t happen, nor do I think I ran over anything. It looks like the dork disc got caught somehow and that’s what I heard and felt.
I’ve removed the disk, but now the chain keeps making loud noises and is getting caught on the adjacent gear, and it won’t even shift to the lowest gear (biggest cog). Any help would me much appreciated.
Look at your derailleur from behind and see if your pulley wheels are lined up with the cassette. If it’s not, try doing some adjustment with that barrel adjuster until it is
these canyon dork discs seem to be dangerously shitty. like i’m sure they put them on for legal reasons but mine made a horrible noise when i first got it and the thing wasn’t tight at all on the spokes. that said, i think you just need a derailleur tension adjustment as per the other comment
