Dont worry bro , you will get chance to attend awareness class hopefully, as you were doing 53 on 40 which is the maximum limit for awareness class I believe and you are first timer. If you were caught doing 54 on 40 you don't have option to attend class. You have to pay 100 quids though for booking class.

Either you did not see the speed limit sign when you crossed from higher to lower limit area or you did not think too much about maintaining the speed limit. Any faster and for sure you would have got points. Your car does not have a speed limiter? My vehicle has this function and I use it always. I don't have any speeding ticket for 5 years.
